I hate this image, there's so much fail in it, I really need to practice more with my Cintiq.
But I like to think of it as Sonic giving Amy a red tulip flower rather than a rose to applease her on valentines day asnd not giveher any crazy notions about love, when the the red tulip and its symbolic meaning is something Amy knows all to well.
A Turkish legend may be responsible for the red tulip's symbolism. The story goes that a prince named Farhad was love struck by a maiden named Shirin. When Farhad learned that Shirin had been killed, he was so overcome with grief that he killed himself - riding his horse over the edge of a cliff. It's said that a scarlet tulip sprang up from each droplet of his blood, giving the red tulip the meaning "perfect love."
That said, Happy Valentines day to those of you who celebrate it, me, I'll be spending the 14th locked up inside a concrete box with people I hate pondering the futility of seeking a life long companion when I can only do so after 6PM on week days and 4PM on weekends. Saturdays not included, I'm generally worn down so much on Saturdays I can barely get myself to go shopping for food.
Yes, my life SUCKS.
